Gonzalez is thought to be one of the top tight ends in the history of football. Gonzalez holds the NFL's record in receiving yards and receptions as a tightener. In addition, he is third in overall receptions. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he was drafted as the 1st pick. In his final five seasons in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez was retired in 2013, was an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Before that, he worked for CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six All-Pro honors. Gonzalez was known for his toughness and ability to avoid fumbling. He appeared in 270 of 272 regular-season games and only fumbled twice and a total of 1,327 plays. In 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
